+ WHEN IS THE FESTIVAL?

The festival is the Saturday of the Thanksgiving weekend each year. This year’s date is Saturday October 6th, 2018.

+ IS THE FESTIVAL FREE TO ATTEND?

Yes, it sure is.

+ WHAT TIME DOES THE FESTIVAL RUN?

Official start time is 10:00am, but the Fort Langley Lion’s Club hosts a pancake breakfast beginning at 8:30am.

+ IS THERE A PANCAKE BREAKFAST?

Yes, the Fort Langley Lion’s Club hosts a pancake breakfast beginning at 8:30am and goes until they run out of food (usually around noon). The breakfast is held in the Lee’s Market parking lot at 23320 Mavis Avenue.

+ WHAT IF IT RAINS?

The festival happens rain or shine. Vendors set-up under tents for and our entertainers continue on with their sets. Living on the West Coast we know that festival-goers won’t be deterred. Just make sure to bring your sunglasses, gumboots and umbrellas!

+ HOW DOES THE SHUTTLE SERVICE WORK?

For those who don’t want to fight the traffic we offer free shuttles from two convenient locations. The first location is Walnut Grove Secondary School, only a couple of minutes from the 200th exit of Hwy 1 at 8919 Walnut Grove Drive. The other location is at Trinity Western University, also a short drive from the freeway, located at 7600 Glover Road. Both locations are less then a 10 minute drive from the festival site and with multiple shuttles running from each location you shouldn’t have to wait more then 10 minutes for a pick-up. Shuttles operate from 9:30am to 4:30pm.

+ IS THERE HANDICAP PARKING?

Yes, we do our best to maintain spots within the festival boundary for those with handicap permits. Handicap parking is located at 9110 Glover Road, but must be entered via Church Street.

+ HOW DO I BECOME A VENDOR AT THE FESTIVAL?

We open applications in January of each year, which can be found on our website under "Become A Vendor". Applications are open until mid-July. After the deadline a selection process takes place, because we receive far more applications than we have spots available. Successful applicants are then notified. Each year we accept new vendors, so please do not get discouraged if you do not get accepted the first time. We encourage you to apply again the following year.

+ DO YOU ALLOW NON-PROFITS OR COMMUNITY GROUPS TO FILL VENDOR SPOTS?

The short answer is no. Although we value what non-profits and community groups do, we we simply don't have space for everyone. We get an unbelievable number of requests from organizations which want to promote their cause or fundraise at the event. Our current policy is to continue the vendor portion as a jurried maretplace.

+ CAN I BRING MY DOG?

Yes, absolutely. We just ask that you keep your pup a leash while at the festival.

+ CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD?

Yes, for sure. Please keep in mind, there are many restaurants in Fort Langley that will be open, and there are 16 food trucks serving up an array of meal and snack options.

+ WILL THERE BE A PLACE TO SIT AND EAT?

Yes. We provide picnic tables for the event day and locate them in the center of the festival near the entertainment.

+ DO THE VENDORS TAKE DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD?

Each vendor takes care of their own payment, and although most do offer options to pay with a card, we suggest bringing some cash, just in case. There are also ATMs located in the center of the festival at Coast Capital Savings.

+ IS THERE A LOST AND FOUND?

All items that are found at the festival are turned into the Cranberry Sales tent and will be held by the Fort Langley BIA after the event. If you lose an item at the festival please contact us at meghan@fortlangley.com.
